H10 Casa de la Plata
What caught our eye here is how deliberately local the design reads for a hotel...
Querencia de Sevilla occupies the former headquarters of the Banco de Andalucía, a six-floor building reopened in April 2022 after a €35 million conversion by developers Atitlan and Drago, with AC Hotels by Marriott running it under the Autograph Collection banner. The building's financial-institution bones, a formal street presence, generous floor heights, a central position on Avenida de la Constitución, now carry 95 rooms across four categories, Deluxe, Gran Deluxe, Suite and Junior Suite, most with a terrace or balcony looking toward the Giralda or the domed La Adriática building across the street.
We chose this hotel for the rooftop: a 700-square-metre terrace above the sixth floor with a pool and 360-degree views that take in the cathedral, a rare amenity this close to Seville's historic core. Interiors lean into Andalusian pattern, florals, deep purple textiles, green-accented bathrooms, rather than a generic international finish, and the restaurant and bar, La Maestría, serves regional Andalusian cuisine through lunch, dinner and cocktail hours. With 2,000 square metres of commercial and restaurant space built into the ground floor, the hotel brings its own street life rather than depending entirely on the neighbourhood around it.
Avenida de la Constitución sits inside Seville's historic centre, close enough to walk to the Cathedral and the Royal Alcázar in about five minutes and to Plaza de España in roughly twenty. The Ayuntamiento is nearby as well, and an airport bus stop at Paseo de las Delicias sits a short walk away, alongside a tram stop just a few hundred feet from the entrance. It is a location built for covering Seville's headline sights on foot, with transit options close by for anything farther out.

The hotel's four room categories, Deluxe, Gran Deluxe, Suite and Junior Suite, inherit the generosity of a building designed to project financial solidity: high floors, formal proportions, and in most cases a private balcony or terrace that opens onto Avenida de la Constitución or toward the Giralda. Interiors trade the building's original austerity for Andalusian-patterned textiles and deep purple accents, a deliberate contrast that keeps the rooms from feeling like a converted office rather than a hotel built for the stay.
Above the sixth floor, the 700-square-metre terrace is the clearest argument for staying here over most other historic-centre hotels: a pool, loungers and a 360-degree sightline that takes in the cathedral alongside the rest of Seville's rooftops. Downstairs, La Maestría keeps the kitchen regional rather than generic-international, running from lunch through cocktails, and the hotel's own 2,000 square metres of ground-floor commercial space, including a planned sushi restaurant, adds a layer of street life uncommon in a historic-centre conversion.
The rooftop pool is a highlight but not an especially large one, so travellers expecting a resort-scale pool should adjust expectations accordingly. Breakfast is not automatically included for every rate or loyalty tier, so it is worth confirming at booking. As a newer property with still-limited review volume, service consistency is worth checking against current guest feedback before a stay during peak summer occupancy, when the hotel has reported running close to full.
